PartTime/ Full Time Living History Interpreter

Murton Park is looking for a Part Time/ Full Time Living History Interpreter

The role

  • To deliver all aspects of our school living history learning programme on site, in schools and online. Working individually, remotely or as part of a team, to act as support or lead character. Actively develop and maintain a good level of appropriate subject knowledge. Care for and maintain props, materials and costumes to ensure a high standard of presentation.
  • High levels of record-keeping required.
  • To undertake the delivery of the museum learning and engagement programme for the public and museum visitors. Within and out of season.
  • To work on Reception/Front of House as required
  • To undertake other duties when required to support the maintenance/upkeep of the site
  • To assist the site with the holiday programme as required
  • Offsite work may be required (education outreach program within schools)

The person

  • Clean Driving Licence required
  • Willingness to work remotely
  • Educated to Graduate/Post Graduate level/Teaching qualification
  • Good level of subject knowledge
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure
  • Uphold staff / site policies where required
  • A team player with a can-do attitude

Rate of pay: £12.35/hr

Hours: a typical day is 8.30am-4.30pm
