Paralegal / Senior Paralegal – Volume Motor Team – Glasgow or Edinburgh office

Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom or Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a caseload of approximately 70 files at any one time, managing all procedural aspects from issue through to trial.
  • Draft all pleadings and prepare witness statements for court proceedings, using telephone or video call.
  • Value personal injury using JC Guidelines and case law; assess claims for special damages.
  • Negotiate settlements where appropriate, using persuasive arguments and strong telephone negotiation skills.
  • Attend conferences with counsel when required.
  • Liaise with claimants’ solicitors, counsel, courts, brokers, policyholders and insurer clients.
  • Use case‑management systems to maintain strong organisational skills and ensure all Management Information is completed timely and accurately.
  • Adhere to client SLA requirements for reporting and updates.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Previous Motor/RTA litigation experience.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Professional manner with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
