The Opportunity: Paint Engineer

Contract: Permanent

Location: Cannock

The Impact you will have:
  • Working in conjunction with technical/workshop staff, to assess the condition of product at the work entry stage and/or as work progresses during machine preparation in order to identify the type and cost effective level of work required to bring the equipment up to the standard required for its planned future use .
  • Working safely and within the preparation schedule and cost/time guidelines, to carry out replacement and repair work on any element within the plant product so that both components and the product as a whole comply with sound engineering standards and Briggs/manufacturer specification/tolerances.
  • To smartly identify the most cost effective way of painting a machine
  • To ensure that work done and final component/product performance will pass Briggs inspection/audit and that all service documentation is correctly completed.
  • To utilise skills to assist with other engineering related work such as preventive maintenance, new product assembly/preparation.
  • Maintain all spray equipment within the Preparations areas and ensure strict controls of Paint and consumables, Maintain stock levels of paint and consumables, ensuring they are managed in the most cost effective way.
