• Previous experience in a Paediatric Emergency Department/Urgent Care Centre is desirable.
• Evidence of continued professional development required.

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess children in high acuity and resuscitation areas.
• Administer medications and apply treatments.
• Provide health promotion and nurse-led discharge.

Skills

Ability to provide and receive complex information

Able to work without supervision

Competent in the use of IT such as Microsoft Office

Venepuncture and cannulation competency

Education

Degree in Children's Nursing

Current NMC Registration (Children's nurse)

Clinical Teaching experience
