Overview

The employer is looking for flexibility to assist him to football matches in Glasgow. This will be a drop off and wait service, not to attend football. Hours will change weekly, could be either longer day on Saturday or Sunday. Prior notice of work pattern will be given.

Responsibilities

• The role involves caring for a man who has a physical disability and is a wheelchair user. He lives with and gets support from other PAs and his wife (and a friendly family dog).
• Roles will also include personal care, for example, support with washing/showering, dressing, continence care, giving medication, ensuring appropriate levels of hygiene. This will include the use of a mobile hoist, experience preferred.
• Will also include driving employer\'s vehicle.
• Other parts of the role could include accompany and provide support enabling him to attend work related meetings, appointments, meet friends, travel to events, allowing him to get the most out of both a working and social life.
• Consequently, he is looking for a competent, experienced driver with a full clean driving licence who can drive his wheelchair accessible vehicle.
• There may also be occasions where you are asked to cover some hours for other staff holidays.

Qualifications & Requirements

• It would be preferable that you have experience of supporting adults with physical disabilities.
• Competent, experienced driver with a full clean driving licence for a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
• Appropriate PPE will be provided and you will be expected to adhere to safe PPE working practice.
• 6 month probationary period attached to this post.
• PVG disclosure (new or updating) paid by the employer, plus 2 up-to-date references.

Employment Details

• Location: Irvine; travel to Glasgow as needed for transport to matches and events.
• Pay: £12.60 per hour.
• Hours: Part-time, 8-2, weekends only; potential for variation weekly.
• There may be occasions to cover some hours for other staff holidays.
