Outreach Worker – Camden, London Service Care Solutions

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an Outreach Worker to join the Safer Streets Team in the London Borough of Camden.

Pay and Hours
  • Pay Rate: £23 Ltd per hour
  • Hours: Full-time, 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Contract: Temporary (3 months) with potential for extension
  • Start Date: Immediate
Role Overview

You will form part of the Safer Streets Team to reduce rough sleeping and other forms of anti-social street activity within Camden. This will involve assertive outreach, needs assessment, case management, and making service offers relating to emergency accommodation, reconnection, advice, treatment, and assistance. The role requires working as part of a multi‑agency partnership to address the needs of rough sleepers and reduce community safety concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with individuals on the street and in the RTS Day Centre, including rough sleepers, beggars, sex workers, and street drinkers, to connect them with appropriate services and support.
  • Participate in shift patterns to maximise contact with individuals.
  • Work within multi‑agency initiatives, including tasking and targeting meetings, to reduce street activity and its impact on community safety.
  • Identify and target entrenched rough sleepers, including those unwilling to engage with services.
  • Develop and implement action and support plans to help rough sleepers move into accommodation.
  • Facilitate reconnection for clients to their home areas where necessary, working with providers both within and outside Camden.
  • Maintain an active caseload, including support plans with clear targets and timeframes.
  • Apply a case management approach through one‑to‑one key working sessions.
  • Support Pan‑London initiatives such as No Second Night Out (NSNO).
  • Champion an allocated thematic lead within the Safer Streets Team.
