In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality, patient‑centred care within our outpatient department.

You’ll work alongside Consultants, Advanced Practitioners and a supportive multi‑disciplinary team, ensuring patients receive safe, efficient and seamless care from arrival to discharge. If you thrive in a busy clinical environment where no two days are the same—and you’re passionate about making every patient interaction count—this role could be perfect for you.

What you’ll be doing
  • Deliver high‑standard, compassionate patient care including assessments, observations and clinical interventions.
  • Support a wide range of outpatient procedures, assisting Consultants and clinical colleagues.
  • Carry out diagnostic tests such as ECGs, point‑of‑care testing and specimen collection.
  • Administer medications, dressings, injections and minor treatments as required.
  • Triage patient concerns both in person and over the phone, escalating when necessary.
  • Manage clinical documentation accurately using our electronic medical record systems.
  • Ensure clinic rooms, equipment and patient areas remain safe, clean and fully prepared.
  • Educate and support patients and their families, helping them understand treatment plans, medications and aftercare.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, following infection prevention protocols, safeguarding standards and clinical governance processes.
What we’ll look for in you
  • NMC registration (RGN) with a genuine commitment to outstanding outpatient and ambulatory care.
  • Strong clinical assessment and triage skills.
  • Confidence working independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to put patients at ease.
  • A positive, adaptable attitude and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Previous outpatient or ambulatory care experience is desirable, but not essential—enthusiasm and a patient‑centred approach matter most.
What you can expect in return;
  • A salary of £35,600 per annum
  • A fixed‑term contract to cover a period of maternity leave up to 12 months
  • An extensive range of wellbeing and lifestyle benefits
  • 25 days annual leave (increasing with service) plus bank holidays
  • The support you need to grow in your role
