Overview

As an Optometrist at Vision Express, you’ll get to work with world class technology including automated refraction, non-contact tonometry, automated keratometry, fundus camera, visual field analyser, OCT and automated phoropters to name a few. Responsibilities

• Test patients’ eyes and eyesight while providing specialist recommendations on appropriate eyecare or eyewear solutions.
• Communicate professionally and build rapport, translating terminology into language understandable to patients.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the entire store team.
• Perform effectively in a fast-paced retail environment, including handling challenging situations and working under pressure.
• Demonstrate confidence, passion, drive and enthusiasm for optometry.

Qualifications

• Experience in testing patients’ eyes and providing specialist recommendations on eyecare or eyewear solutions.
• Great communication and rapport-building skills to translate professional terminology for patients.
• Ability to work well in a team across the store.
• Capability to perform under pressure in a busy retail environment.
