About The Role:

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday with occasional nights and weekends

CORE OBJECTIVES
  1. Relief/support cover at all levels, as directed by the Operations Manager.
  2. Seamless transfer and mobilisation of new contracts.
  3. Practical training of transferring teams to achieve consistent sustainable company and client objectives.
  4. Assist with the delivery of training to include Company Induction and other mandatory training, as required.
  5. Client, customer and supplier liaison.
  6. Duties as directed by the Operations Manager.
KEY TASKS:
New Contract / Unit Mobilisation
  • Ensure that the operation is fully mobilised in line with the customer, client and company’s objectives outlined in the tender document.
  • Provide total support as required to the manager and team on site, ensuring that all standard company bookwork and procedures have been set up and adhered to. All training must be documented on relevant team member company training record cards within required timescales.
  • Ensure that quality objectives from the tender and any Service Level Agreements are in place and that all site‑specific information required is completed within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure that timely and accurate communication lines remain open between all parties concerned.
  • Implement all aspects of HACCP in contracts.
  • Ensure that all new catering colleagues are issued with an Induction pack and inducted using the tools provided and are aware of the OCS vision and TRUE Values.
Business Growth

Assist in the gaining of new business by:

  • Supporting the Operations teams creating contracts of excellence for visits by potential clients;
  • Assisting the sales team with operational knowledge and support
  • Supporting the Executive Chef Development team, as required for production and presentation of food for sales presentations
Where acting in the role of mobilisation of new contracts:
  • Work within the relevant agreed financial budget, providing coaching, guidance and support to new managers.
  • Work within the agreed company bookwork guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Check client contract/proposal to establish that all areas of the purchasing disciplines are being adhered to and ensure the company’s maximum stock levels are met.
  • Set up and monitor, whilst on site all suppliers as allocated.
  • Set up all new Catering Colleague files, including training records, ensuring GDPR regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • As directed by the Operations Manager initiate working with the Catering Manager / Chef Manager to develop sales levels to meet and exceed client and company budget requirements via regular and up to date marketing and merchandising solutions.
  • Ensure that all monies are stored securely, in line with company limits and banked in accordance with company procedures.
  • Regularly update the Operations Manager of mobilisation progress and feedback any client comments.
