Salary: £27,000 per annum, increasing to £28,000 in the 2nd year

Contractual hours: 37.5
Contract type: 22-month fixed term

Basis: Full time

Location: St Patrick’s House, Cardiff Package: Employer pension 28 days holiday (excluding bank holidays). Employee Assistance Programme. Free travel across the TfW Rail Network. Flexible benefits

What will my responsibilities be?
The Operations Graduate will contribute to the best service for our customers by supporting the delivery of our timetable promise, optimising capacity to meet their needs and providing the best possible experience.

Are there any essential requirements?

  • A degree/Apprenticeship degree in a subject such a Business/Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or other re levant area.
  • Experience of utilising time management and prioritisation skills to effectively achieve goals/objectives.
  • Understanding of the importance of health and safety in the context of the transportation sector.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of both internal and external stakeholders at different organisational levels.
  • Demonstrated alignment to our core graduate attributes and values, which can be found below.

Please note, to be eligible for our Graduate Scheme, you must be within 2 years post-graduation upon application or have graduated by the time the scheme begins. You’ll need to be available to start the Graduate Scheme in early September 2026.

You will be required to undertake a Personal Track Safety Medical to determine fitness for the role.

Welsh Language Skills We welcome people who can speak or write in Welsh, but it’s not essential for this role.
