Job description

We currently have a requirement for a full-time experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team based at Cranfield Airport, home to the BAe 146‑301 Atmospheric Research Aircraft.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring day to day operations perform at the optimum level
  • UK and overseas campaign planning
  • Monitoring the standards of completion by the flight crew of all aircraft documents and aircraft technical logs
  • In liaison with the Ground Operations Manager, ensuring the accuracy of information recorded for the purposes of the Company’s Flight Time Limitations Scheme currently in force
  • Preparing all relevant documentation and information for pre‑flight briefing
  • Checking the contents of completed return flight documentation after each flight and ensuring that all necessary reports are completed and submitted as required
  • Using the company SMS to assess and mitigate risks within their activities
Qualifications
  • An airline or aviation background and experience
  • Extensive knowledge of flight planning, overflight and diplomatic clearances
  • A good knowledge base of aircraft performance, weight and balance and crew rostering
  • Well versed in normal operations procedures including weather, NOTAMs and flight watch
  • Familiar with CAA and aircraft manufacturers publications
  • Prepared to work extensive overseas and UK detachments, required when relocating aircraft from home airfield, including weekends and bank holidays as required
  • Multi‑disciplined and able to work on their own initiative within a small team
  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and reliability
  • People skills combined with an ability to communicate and interact with numerous users of the facility
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and unrestricted passport
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK
Preferred
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods by Air regulations and a certificate in acceptance of Dangerous Goods (full training will be given)
