The New Product Introduction (NPI) purchasing specialist (Contract) is a member of the Wolverhampton site purchasing organisation and is responsible for supporting the procurement of direct material required to introduce the development and build of new product to the business on time.**Responsibilities and accountabilities*** Work with suppliers to prioritise key purchased parts to ensure commit dates meet program need dates.* Interrogate lines of balance and program plans to identify critical paths and key purchased parts.* Work with suppliers to explore and implement expedite opportunities where commit dates do not meet the program need dates.* Communicate and agree expedite costs with Program Sourcing/Program Management.* Liaise between supplier and MOOG Supply Chain functions to coordinate and resolve Quality and Manufacturing Engineering related issues.* Coordinate with supplier leads regarding performance of existing suppliers in delivery of materials and services to contract and/or project price and timescales.
