Job summary

A leading engineering and consultancy firm in the UK is seeking a Data Centre Design Manager. The role involves overseeing the design process for large-scale data centre projects, coordinating between stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with client standards. Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience and a degree in a relevant field. This is a full-time position requiring travel to Norway and Finland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in design management for large-scale data centre or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in managing design teams, BIM coordination, and technical submittals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full design package and ensure compliance with client procedures.
• Lead design meetings to ensure scope clarity and no delivery gaps.
• Manage BIM team to develop a clash-free model by Final IFC stage.
• Engage in the permit process to secure necessary permits for construction.
• Implement and manage a robust RFI procedure for timely resolution of design queries.
