Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving, purpose-built RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital on the beautiful South Coast. This position offers the chance to work with an established, supportive team in a state-of-the-art environment while enjoying an enviable work-life balance.

The Role

This role is focused on emergency and critical care, forming part of the hospital’s growing medicine and out-of-hours team. The night vet will oversee inpatient care, manage emergency cases, and provide continuity for the hospital’s extensive caseload from surrounding branch practices and subscribing clinics.

Working either full-time or part-time, the successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment alongside an experienced Night Nurse and Animal Nursing Assistant. With full ward handovers and a well-resourced day team, you’ll be supported every step of the way.

Full-time rota: 4 nights on, 8 nights off (approx. 32.67 hours per week)

Part-time rota: 4 nights on, 20 nights off (approx. 16.38 hours per week)

Salary:

Full-time: £61,159 – £65,405 (depending on experience)

Part-time: £32,500 – £35,850

About the Hospital

This long-established hospital has been a trusted part of the local community for over four decades and now serves as a central hub for multiple branches and partner practices in the region. Facilities include:

  • Separate cat, dog, exotic, isolation and day procedure wards
