WHAT YOU WILL DO
The key responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:
- Being responsible for cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the entire club and offices.
- Being responsible for the leadership and operational running of the housekeeping department and team with the support of the Director of People and Culture.
- Managing housekeeping budgets, including cost controls with regards to labour, agency, ordering of relevant items and managing of all supplier relationships.
- Ensuring your team and any agency staff working are fully briefed on our expectations prior to the start of their shift and conduct routine inspections.
- Analysing housekeeping products and suppliers and being aware of new trends in the industry making suggestions for improvements.
- Checking for faults or damage and work alongside the Chief Engineer to arrange repairs and routine maintenance work.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleaning and hygiene within our club and offices adhering to COSSH guidelines.
- Participating in vendor sourcing and quality control of all housekeeping department related suppliers.
- Organising routine and specialist cleaning including window cleaning for the club and our offices.
- Being responsible for the organisation, ordering and par levels of inventories for linen, uniform, and all other fixed assets.
- Being an ambassador for our club as well as a strong leader who embodies our values and commitment to our teams.
- Ensuring that company and statutory standards and legislations are adhered to, so that our home, members, and colleagues are always kept safe.
- Suggesting changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, cost reductions and improving our member experience.
- Assuring completion of weekly scheduling to ensure labour costs are in line with budget.
- Overseeing creation and development of all Housekeeping SOP’s and standards.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- At least 1 year proven experience in a Housekeeping Team Leader role within a luxury / lifestyle hospitality business.
- Excellent time-management skills; comfortable prioritising what is important during busy periods.
- Obsessive about attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management, and coming front of house to talk to members.
