An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join our Discharge Lounge team.
The Administrative Assistant in the Discharge Lounge plays a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient discharge of patients from hospital care. The role ensures that all administrative processes are completed accurately and on time, enabling patients to leave the hospital safely and without unnecessary delays. Working closely with clinical staff, porters, transport and families, the postholder provides clerical, organisational, and communication support within a busy patient‑focused environment.
The successful applicant will need to have experience dealing with the general public; they will have good IT skills and remain calm under pressure in this challenging role, a good telephone manner, confidence and a positive helpful attitude is essential. Duties will include answering the telephone, filing, updating the discharge lounge tracker and using Careflow, Patient flow and other IT systems.
Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
