Team Environment: Embedded into an established in-house engineering team

Role Overview

We are recruiting three .NET Developers, including one Senior Developer, to join a growing engineering team delivering both ongoing development and modernisation of a complex monolithic platform. The team is in the process of migrating workloads to AWS and moving the frontend from AngularJS to modern StencilJS web components. You will play a key part in stabilising, enhancing, and progressively modernising the existing codebase while supporting the development of new cloud-native services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality backend development in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
  • Work with the team to help migrate legacy monolithic components into AWS-based services.
  • Contribute to development using message-driven architecture with RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, and AWS Lambda.
  • Support enhancements, bug resolution, and new feature development across several platform modules.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers contributing to the transition from AngularJS to StencilJS (Web Components).
  • Work with the team’s custom metadata-driven system for dynamic data-sources, business rules, and form generation.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with teams in Bristol and offshore engineering groups.
  • Follow CI/CD workflows using Bitbucket, Jenkins, AWS CLI abstractions, and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure robust unit testing, code quality, maintainability, and adherence to internal engineering standards.
