About Fussy

Hey good smelling! We’re Fussy…about everything in our mission to banish single-use plastic from your bathroom. Having experienced exceptional growth over the past four years, we are now looking for a talented individual to join the team as a National Account Manager. You will contribute to our retail strategy and help drive sales for our first product, a refillable deodorant.

This is a super exciting opportunity to join a disruptive startup during a period of growth. The selected candidate will work directly with the senior leadership team to deliver growth in our retail business.

About the role

Joining as a National Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing relationships through regular contact with key retail partners, focusing on High Street and Grocery sectors.

Specifically, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Account management of key retail partners, focusing on High Street or Grocery.
  • Supporting the Head of Sales in preparing pitches for new retail opportunities.
  • Managing forecasts and P&L for your accounts and achieving growth targets.
  • Driving sales by ensuring customer admin is completed accurately and on time, maintaining visibility in-store, and online content is of high quality.
  • Identifying market trends through competitor analysis to uncover commercial opportunities.
  • Reporting and analyzing retailer, category, and market data to inform our commercial strategy.
  • Representing the company at external trade events and meetings.
  • Collaborating with marketing and operations to develop retail plans.
  • Being proactive and adaptable to various challenges.

About you

  • Approximately 2+ years of sales experience within an FMCG company, with a proven track record in building retailer relationships and driving growth.
  • Interest in sustainability and wellness sectors; knowledge of the Health & Beauty market and similar categories is a plus.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage others.
  • Analytical skills and commercial awareness.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.

  • A salary range of £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience.
  • Hybrid working: from September, based in our Central London office (Tues–Thurs in Shoreditch).
