Job description

We are seeking a music theory teacher to deliver courses via Zoom. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching theory and achieving good results across exam boards such as ABRSM, LCME, Trinity, etc., with a focus on ABRSM for our courses.

You will need a suitable space for online teaching and familiarity with Zoom. Ability to use Google Calendar to manage weekly availability for one-on-one lessons is essential; training will be provided during induction.

Our website will handle student details, payments, and scheduling. We will also provide a reporting system for parents, arrange examinations, and publicize your availability.

There are opportunities for additional work, including group sessions and summer workshops, as the school grows.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience teaching music theory with successful exam results across various boards, mainly ABRSM.
• Have a suitable space for delivering online courses via Zoom, with lesson planning and engaging delivery skills.
• Be able to accept and mark homework digitally promptly.
• Be able to use Google Calendar to manage availability, with training provided.
• Hold a full DBS check, right to work in the UK, and preferably have teaching qualifications.
