Mount St Benedict College, is a girls high school established by the Sisters of Good Samaritan Education with a community of ten schools across Australia. The College offers holistic Catholic education based on Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition and values including Pax, Hospitality and Stewardship.

The College is looking for applicants to join our CAPA Faculty as a full time Music teacher and Music Convenor commencing Term 1 2026. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a creative and innovative approach to Teaching and Learning. The role of the Music convenor is to oversee and lead a team of peripatetic music tutors within the College cocurricular program.

ESSENTIAL
  • Relevant teaching qualifications
  • NESA Registration
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Significant knowledge of performance practice, music repertoire and styles
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • A high level of organisation with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in meeting the diverse learning needs of all students through planning and team teaching in a collaborative style
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively and sensitively across a broad range of audiences
DESIRABLE
  • An understanding of Good Samaritan Schools Teaching and Learning Framework
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment as a member of a team
  • Experience teaching Music 7 to 12, including one or more Stage 6 courses, with a track record of exceptional results in Music
  • Experience in teaching Music Extension
  • Piano and singing ability
  • HSC marking experience
