Greaves Tree Services is a well‑established, family‑run contractor operating across Cumbria, Lancashire, and Cheshire, delivering professional tree work, utility vegetation management, and highway verge maintenance.

Utility Cutters

• Vegetation clearance on powerline contracts
• Working to strict safety and utility industry standards

• Minimum UA1, UA2, and UA3 qualifications required
• Utility arboriculture experience preferred
• Strong safety‑focused attitude

Ground Maintenance Operatives – Highway Verge Works

• Highway verge cutting and vegetation maintenance
• Working as part of a team under traffic management systems

• CSCS card required
• Experience in grounds maintenance or highways work preferred
• Tickets (e.g. brushcutter, chainsaw) an advantage
• Willingness to work outdoors in all conditions

Tree Surgeon Operatives

• General tree surgery operations
• Domestic, commercial, and contract works

• Chainsaw and climbing tickets preferred
• Ground staff and climbers considered
• Strong work ethic and team attitude essential

Travel & Van‑Sharing

We already have operatives based across multiple areas. Van‑sharing and local pick‑ups are available, meaning many roles allow you to be picked up locally and travel to site with the team, rather than making your own way to site each day.
