Shift pattern: 12-hour Days & Nights (Continental Shift Pattern)

About the Company

We are a well-established manufacturing company based in Birmingham seeking an Apprentice-Trained Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our engineering team.

The Role

As part of the skilled maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant and equipment through effective fault finding, repair, and planned maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and site equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across a range of heavy industrial machinery.
  • Work confidently with 3-phase control systems and PLC fault finding, ideally with Siemens PLCs.
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
Ideal Candidate
  • Apprentice trained in electrical or multi-skilled engineering.
  • Qualified to HNC level (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical knowledge with solid PLC fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
  • Self-motivated, safety-conscious, and a proactive team player.
