Qualifications

• Proven experience working on vehicle maintenance and repairs, either in a dealership or independent garage.
• Valid clean UK Driving Licence and must be eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Conducting MOT inspections and repairs in accordance with BMW and DVSA standards.
• Perform thorough inspections of vehicles, including brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, and emissions.
• Identify, report and rectify any faults accurately.

Hedin Ruxley is looking for a MOT Tester to join our Team.

Your role

As a MOT Tester you will play a crucial role in ensuring that vehicles meet safety and environmental standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting MOT tests, identifying faults, and providing accurate assessments and repairs whilst ensuring vehicles are inspected in accordance with BMW and DVSA standards. You will work alongside a fantastic, dedicated service team and will work from a state-of-the-art workshop. In addition, you will assist with routine service inspections, repairing and replacing worn or malfunctioning parts.

The main duties of the role include:

• Conducting MOT inspections and repairs in accordance with BMW and DVSA standards
• Perform thorough inspections of vehicles, including brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, and emissions.
• Identify, report and rectify any faults accurately
• Maintain accurate records of test results.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of vehicles in accordance with BMW/MINI UK standards
• Deliver high standards of technical advice, service, and maintenance to all customers

Salary and hours:

Basic salary £27,500 with an OTE up to £38,300 + per annum.

Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm with Sat, 8am to 12.30pm on a 1 in 4 rota basis, paid as overtime.

• Level 2/3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair/ATA qualification (or equivalent)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven experience working on vehicle maintenance and repairs, either in a dealership, or independent garage
• Valid clean UK Driving Licence and must be eligible to work in the UK
