Qualifications

Location: Farnborough Depot, GU14 0LX

Salary: £31,827 per annum (£13.60 ph)

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Hours: 45 hours per week, 07:30am to 17:00pm

We operate nationally from multiple depots and pride ourselves on delivering high‑quality, HSE‑compliant mobile welfare units ranging from units for six people up to 16‑person models with offices, toilets, canteens and drying rooms. Our fleet is modern, efficient, eco‑friendly (for example our “Ecosmart” range with low emissions and high efficiency) and our culture emphasises reliability, service and a forward‑thinking approach.

Mobile Engineer – The Role

This is a mobile role covering the depot’s operating region, with occasional travel to support other regions when required. You will carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on welfare units, generators and related systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing, maintenance, and repair of the generator and electrical system.
  • Servicing, maintenance, and repair of the running and towing gear.
  • General maintenance of the unit and its systems.
  • Electrical testing of the unit and appliances.
  • Attend scheduled and reactive maintenance calls.
  • General depot duties when required, including cleaning and delivering/collecting units.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience of servicing, maintaining and repairing welfare units and generators, or a similar electrical and mechanical background.
  • Commercial driver experience with a full driving licence (including B+E category), good driving skills and a clean driving licence for at least 2 years.
  • Ideally possess towing experience and trained in commercial towing.
  • Ideally a digital tachograph card holder and understanding of relevant driving regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written and professional self‑presentation.
