About the Role

15 Hours Per Week

Part‑time

We are seeking a permanent mobile catering assistant to cover for staff absences with the school meals catering service in Wrexham.

The successful applicant must have use of a vehicle, a valid insurance policy to include business cover, road tax and a full licence. Travel expenses will be paid for business mileage from base kitchen to schools within the area.

Responsibilities
  • Basic preparation of food and beverages, e.g. preparing vegetables, fruit and salads.
  • Simple cooking duties, such as preparation of snack items.
  • General kitchen and dining room duties, e.g. washing up, moving dining tables and chairs, clearing away dining room.
  • Cleaning the kitchen, equipment and surroundings.
  • Transporting and serving meals when required.
  • Any duties commensurate with nature and grade of post, as instructed by the Cook in charge.
  • Operation of a computerised school meals administration system.
