Job summary

A leading financial institution is seeking an Associate within the Derivative Middle Office. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of trade flows and manage reconciliations, while collaborating with Front Office and technology teams. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of derivative products, experience in a middle office, and familiarity with systems such as Murex and ION. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to process optimisation and regulatory compliance in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of front-to-back trade flows.

  • Support trade lifecycle events, compressions, ASCOT allocations, and ISDA confirmations.

Job description

We are supporting a leading financial institution in the hire of an Associate within the Derivative Middle Office, supporting a wide range of cleared and bilateral products including swaps, FRAs, FX instruments, CDS, TRS and convertible bond options.

In this role, you will help ensure accuracy and completeness of front-to-back trade flows, managing intra-day reconciliations, resolving exceptions, overseeing affirmation platforms and maintaining alignment between internal systems and CCPs. The role involves close interaction with Front Office, brokers and technology teams, supporting trade lifecycle events, compressions, ASCOT allocations and ISDA confirmations while upholding robust controls and regulatory standards.

You will contribute to process optimisation, risk reporting and continuous improvement, helping shape the future operating model of the function.

Candidates should bring strong SME knowledge of derivative products, experience in a derivative middle office environment, familiarity with systems such as Murex, ION, Markitwire and trading venues, and proven ability to work accurately under pressure while managing risk and driving change.
