A healthcare provider in the U.S. seeks a Mental Health Associate to deliver patient care in a behavioral health setting. This part-time position requires working nights with responsibilities including supervision and interaction with patients. Our Mental Health Associate (MHA) position presents an ideal opportunity for an energetic, motivated individual with prior experience working with patients with behavioral health or addictions diagnosis. The Mental Health Associate functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, role modeling, and monitoring patients ranging in age from preschool through geriatrics, depending on the nursing unit assigned. At present, the nursing units include a 28 bed adult psych unit, a 28 bed adult dual diagnosis, a 22 bed child and adolescent unit, a 24 bed detox unit and a 20 bed rehab unit. Other MHA duties include taking vital signs, conducting educational groups and responding to codes.
This is a part time, night shift position two days a week from 7:00pm - 7:00am with rotating weekends.
