Job Summary

Applications are invited from highly motivated individuals for a Medical Laboratory Assistant post in the department of Blood Sciences at Dorset County Hospital Foundation Trust. The department provides a wide range of analytical, diagnostic and interpretative services to hospitals, clinics and GP practices.

Main Duties of the Job

The appointee will undertake basic laboratory tasks including specimen reception, data entry into the laboratory management system and preparation of laboratory materials. Working in the specimen reception area the candidate will record and prepare samples, triage requests, and fast‑track urgent work appropriately.
