Where will this position belong? BW Catcher FPSO. Maintenance Dept. Reporting to Maintenance Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe and correct execution of the items in the Preventive Maintenance Program that are assigned to them
- Responsible to notify the Senior Mechanical Technician immediately on the detection of abnormal instrument readings or failure symptoms detected on critical equipment. Safely and efficiently carry out assigned maintenance tasks within agreed scope of authority and within competence level on all items of equipment within discipline and identify cost effective improvements to these tasks that will enhance safety and/or reliability performance
- Responsible for Daily maintenance of all machinery and equipment as instructed by the Senior Mechanical Technician
- Perform preventive/corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on all mechanical equipment as per Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Responsible to provide clear and concise daily work logs that have occurred during the shift and give a comprehensive handover to back-to-backs of all events and information relevant to time on duty. This will include an update on all changes in plant conditions, changes and additions to standing and daily instructions and, as required, the status of work permits within assigned area. Handovers are regarded as critical to the safe operation of the platform systems and equipment
- Responsible for ensuring that relevant requirements of the Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) are used as the term of reference for activities controlled by them
- Prioritise workload to ensure safety critical backlog is kept to a minimum;
- Use IFS maintenance management system and Enablon Permit to work system
- Participate in the emergency preparedness drills, the safety meetings, and on the job training and form a member of the Emergency Response Team
Qualifications
- Marine engineering or mechanical engineering background and recognised qualificationExperience
- Ideally 3 years experience in a similar position - Offshore UK and FPSO is desirable but not essential
- Substantial Oil and Gas experience may be used as a substitute for formal experience, competent knowledge of plant operation, maintenance and computersied maintenance systems
