Mechanical Shift Engineer – Commercial Maintenance (FM) – Data Centre Environment

Shift – Days & Nights. We are actively recruiting for Mechanical Shift Engineers to work within a top‑of‑the‑range data centre environment in Farnborough, Hampshire. As the Mechanical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and remedial works.

The equipment you will be maintaining and duties may include pumps, AHUs (air handling units), FCUs (fan coil units), pressurisation units, cooling towers, pipework/plumbing equipment, lamps, ballasts, etc.

Employment Package
  • Location: Farnborough, Hampshire (Static Site)
  • Base Salary: £48,000 - £51,000
  • Annual bonus: £1,500
  • Allowances: £3,000 AP allowance once Mechanical Pressure Systems AP is attained.
  • Hours: 4 on, 4 off – days and nights (7am‑7pm / 7pm‑7am)
  • Company funded training, courses and development, eg: MPSAP, H&S, IPAF, IOSH and similar courses plus pay allowances for gaining AP status.

Requirements
  • Must be qualified in a mechanical discipline (marine engineering, plumbing, plumbing & heating, engineering operations, etc.).
  • Must have experience working within commercial environments or with commercial systems or in a maintenance based position.
  • Highly desirable but not essential: critical environment experience or critical systems experience, eg: data centres, hospitals, 24/7 operation sites, CRAC units, etc.
