We are working with a global manufacturer of high performance architectural glass products seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer for their major UK production site. The facility operates a continuous manufacturing process and has recently invested in a next generation furnace to support long term growth.

This role sits within the Engineering team and focuses on strengthening asset reliability, maintenance strategy and operational performance. As part of the Engineering function and reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Reliability Engineer will ensure people, processes and technology operate at optimal levels while driving a reliability centred culture across the site.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and improve maintenance and reliability strategies
  • Provide leadership and coaching using the Principle Based Management framework
  • Promote a culture that prioritises long term reliability and asset health
  • Carry out criticality assessments, root cause analysis and FMEA activities
  • Identify and recommend mitigation actions to reduce asset risk and improve performance
  • Standardise maintenance tasks covering preventative, corrective and predictive activities
  • Use multiple condition monitoring techniques to support data driven decision making
  • Plan and deliver CBM and PDM programmes
  • Provide technical input to ensure asset risks and consequences are understood and managed
  • Support continuous improvement activity across asset management and engineering practices
Skills And Experience Required
  • Flexible, positive attitude with a strong improvement mindset
  • Experience in asset management, reliability engineering and maintenance strategy
  • Practical knowledge of condition monitoring tools and techniques
  • Ability to work autonomously and self manage workload
  • HND in Engineering
