Job description

Join to apply for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Leeds role at AWC Group.

AWC Staff Services is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Shift Engineer to work with their client on the Leeds, St James' Hospital Maintenance Team.

Role

This is a shift position which consists of 4 days and 4 nights with 4 days off in-between.

As part of the role, you will maintain, service and repair a wide range of building services:

  • Heating and domestic water systems
  • General electrical services including water and power
  • Air handling units
  • Low voltage electrical distribution systems and switchgear
  • Emergency standby generating plant
  • Fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
  • Electrical control systems
  • Building Management systems
Schedule, Start & Compensation

Start Date: 23rd November

Duration: 3–4 months (potentially longer)

Rate: £15–£17 per hour, DOE

Qualifications

Qualified time‑served engineer with a minimum of 3 years of post‑apprenticeship experience.

Healthcare experience desirable but not essential.

Cross‑trade experience advantageous.
