Mechanical Fitter

Convertech – Double E Group is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Nottingham. The role is permanent, based in the city, and offers £40,000 per annum.

Shift pattern: nights, four on four off. Working hours are 42 hours per week with paid breaks and 20 days holiday.

Role
  • Reactive and planned maintenance on high‑speed machinery.
  • Machine start‑up routine and non‑routine planned shutdowns as required.
  • Full diagnosis and implementation of corrective actions to minimise downtime.
  • Communicate machine status and performance across shifts.
  • Work in partnership with the production team to ensure optimum output.
  • Collaborate as part of a small team.
  • Shift hand‑over and liaising with production staff.
Qualifications & skills required
  • Minimum level 3 NVQ, BTEC City & Guilds equivalent.
  • Mechanical bias.
  • At least 3 years hands‑on maintenance experience within mechanical engineering.
  • Be based in the UK with the right to work.
