About the Role

This role is based in our Bristol office and is part of the Mechanical Engineering team. You will support and deliver designs for a wide range of project types and sizes, working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed, coordinated and cost‑efficient mechanical design advice to a varied client list.
• Prepare comprehensive specifications, calculations and reports.
• Design mechanical engineering systems using the latest software packages.
• Take responsibility for solid technical delivery, either independently or as part of a team.
• Explore innovative approaches, research and best practices to keep the firm competitive.
• Produce clear written documentation and communicate effectively.
• Attend design team meetings, client briefings and site inspections.
• Work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

About You

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or closely related role, with a track record of complex projects.
• Strong understanding of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary environments with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and related software tools.
• Self‑aware, open‑minded and generous spirit of collaboration.
• Conversant with relevant British Standards.
• Consultancy experience.
