You will be the central point of coordination—bringing together people, information, and processes to deliver timely, high‑quality care.

Main duties of the job
  • Arrange the weekly MDT meeting; ensure appropriate venue and equipment are available.
  • Collate, produce and disseminate the MDT list of patients for discussion in collaboration with the Clinical Team to include all appropriate new and historic cases.
  • Ensure all information to enable a complete discussion is available and report any discrepancies to the MDT lead.
  • Ensure discussion is recorded and disseminated appropriately, including communicating information to GPs.
  • In collaboration with the clinical team, ensure all actions resulting from the MDT discussion are implemented.
  • Maintain an accurate record of team attendance at MDT, producing a yearly report for the MDT lead.
  • Be aware of staff availability and events which may impact on MDT meetings (e.g., consultant leave, bank holidays) and liaise with the Patient Pathway Coordinator to make allowances in the patient pathways.
  • Develop systems to ensure rapid and effective communication between all members of the MDT.
  • Collate and input clinical data from MDT into the Somerset Cancer Registry under the direction of the MDT lead.
