We are a leading specialist contractor providing fully managed, turn‑key services to major automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across the UK and overseas. We handle crucial vehicle projects, from planned launch support and build phases to reactive quality campaigns.

Role

We require an exceptionally talented and dedicated Master Upholsterer / Auto Trim to focus exclusively on the precise trimming and finishing of our components destined for high‑end vehicle production. This critical role requires mastery in handling luxury materials for high‑visibility areas such as door panels and centre consoles, where the ultimate in quality and precision is non‑negotiable for our client.

Key Responsibilities
  • Component Mastery: Take full ownership of the trimming process for door panels, centre consoles, and associated interior dash components supplied to our client.
  • Precision Leatherwork: Expertly cut, prepare, and bond natural leather and premium textiles to complex, contoured substrates, meeting the specific aesthetic and quality demands of a luxury brand.
  • Aesthetic Alignment: Ensure flawless material matching, consistent stitching, and invisible joins, critical for components that contribute to a world‑class cabin finish.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the high reputation of E‑PPL by acting as the final quality checkpoint, ensuring zero defects and strict adherence to technical drawings and luxury standards before dispatch.
Requirements
  • Proven Expertise: Minimum of 7+ years of dedicated, high‑level professional experience in luxury automotive component trimming, bespoke furniture, or a related field where absolute precision is paramount.
  • Substrate Proficiency: Advanced skill in working with adhesives, foams, and various complex substrates to achieve a tight, wrinkle‑free, and lasting finish.
  • Meticulous Standard: Unyielding commitment to the highest standard of finish; intrinsic desire for absolute perfection.
  • Portfolio Requirement: Submission of a detailed portfolio demonstrating complex, high‑quality component trimming (door panels, consoles, etc.) is mandatory.

Shifts

Position is expected to last for a duration of 3 months, with the possibility of ongoing work depending on project requirements and performance.
