Job description

Manchester Histories is recruiting a part-time Marketing & Communications Officer to support This Is Us: Tracing Manchester's Histories, a two-year project exploring underrepresented stories from across Greater Manchester. You will also support Manchester Histories core team and activities.

You will plan and deliver day‑to‑day marketing and communications for the project, including social media, website updates, newsletters and printed materials. Working closely with Manchester Histories' small, core team, you'll create engaging content, promote events and volunteering opportunities, and help ensure that diverse communities across Greater Manchester see themselves reflected in the project.

This role is ideal for someone with strong digital skills, a flair for storytelling and an interest in community heritage and history, arts and culture.

  • Salary: £28,000 per annum, pro rata for 24 hours per week. This is a two-year fixed-term role, paid monthly.
