Role Overview

The Marine Operations Delivery Lead is responsible for the delivery of a critical marine support service to a large, live construction site workforce of approximately 7,500 personnel. You will lead the development, review, and implementation of marine operational policies and procedures, support procurement activities through technical input and specifications, and act as the primary interface between the project and its marine service partners. This is a senior, hands‑on delivery role requiring strong leadership, technical expertise in marine and port operations, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment.

  • Act as client interface for service partners responsible for project cargo valued in excess of £1bn
  • Build strong, effective working relationships with contract partners, promoting a collaborative “one team” approach
  • Ensure contract partner teams are fully competent, escalating capability gaps promptly where required
  • Develop and implement marine shared service delivery plans aligned to project schedules
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues to prevent escalation or impact to programme delivery
