And that’s where you come in.**Job Description:****Manufacturing Production Planner****York****£58,500 per annum****Permanent****Shift based****Your new role*** Deliver the overriding Maintenance Plan in the form of a Movements Plan to achieve maximum train availability in line with the requirements set out in the contract.* Assess the operational situation and dispatch requirements in order to inform the maintenance plan.* Maintain Fleet Balances to ensure the correct fleet types are sent on the correct diagrams.* Focus on future maintenance work: daily; weekly; monthly; quarterly; and annually in order to develop and continually refine the maintenance plan for units operating the ECML.* Manage a balanced unit rotation to maximise the mileage across the fleets.* Be the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) between the customer and internal departments with regards to operational needs.* Direct point of contact for Depots and outstations with regards to operational changes and requirements.* Identify and prioritise maintenance activities in accordance with contractual, performance, technical and safety requirements.* Plan the implementation of fleet modifications.* Liaise with Engineering staff and promulgate immediate Engineering Change where required.* Responsible for chairing conference calls with internal stake holders and third-party maintenance suppliers.* Direct liaison to third party maintainers in which their activities need incorporating into the overriding plan* Ensure defects in-service and emerging work requirements discussed with the relevant locations and incorporated into the working plan.* Liaison between the commercial team assisting with relevant operational information which may assist in their investigations.* Manage costs through the effective and efficient alignment of resources and operational capabilities.* Comply with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive improvement.* Be reactive to incidents, disruptions and emergencies on the operational railway and amend the maintenance plan and movements plan accordingly.* Liaise with Production Schedulers and Support Engineers at the Train Maintenance Centre to agree the maintenance plan to be executed.* Liaise with Operations Support and Engineering staff to incorporate overhauls and technical investigations into the maintenance plan.* Utilise SAP Maintenance Management System (MMS) and other IT applications (SOROS, HFMT, Genius, smart sheets, Trello) where required in order to inform and develop the plan.* Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and maintain a customer focus.* Prepare reports and give verbal briefs as required.**About you*** Previous experience of maintenance planning, scheduling and production.* Sound knowledge of railway operations and compliance to railway rules and regulations.* Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think quickly.* Experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) – SAP, Maximo or Equinox.* Minimum Engineering HNC or equivalent vocational experience. **.****At Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.** **We welcome and value differences in background, age, gender, sexuality, family status, disability, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, and world view.** **It is our commitment to create an inclusive environment - we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.****We would be delighted if you would be one of our followers at**Our people love technology – and they love making a difference.
