We’re working on an exciting 8km new build highway scheme in Lincolnshire, involving road construction, drainage, structures and associated works. To help us deliver this key piece of infrastructure, we’re looking for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial side of the project and support both the team and client.

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you’ll lead the commercial function on the project, working closely with the Project Manager and site team. You will be responsible for financial management, contract administration, reporting, and guiding and supporting Junior Surveyors. This is a role where you can make a real impact on a landmark scheme while developing your leadership skills.

What you’ll be doing
  • Oversee cost planning, valuations, and forecasting throughout the project
  • Manage subcontract procurement and relationships
  • Ensure contract requirements are understood and followed
  • Prepare monthly reports for senior management and the client
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities to keep the project on track
  • Provide mentoring and support to junior team members
Who we’re looking for
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
  • Experience in highways or civil engineering projects
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts
  • Confident communicator who can build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Able to lead a team while also working collaboratively
