Job description
Overview

The Manager, Microsoft Security Engineering, EMEA role sits within Deployment Engineering and reports to the Director of Security Engineering. The role is responsible for leading a dedicated team of security engineers to deliver the implementation of modern SOC technologies across the Microsoft Security, Azure, CrowdStrike, and SentinelOne ecosystems.


This position drives the successful onboarding of BlueVoyant Managed Service and Professional Service clients through effective team management, strategic planning, and project execution. It requires experience in security architecture, team leadership, and client-facing service delivery.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead, manage, and mentor the Deployment Engineering team within the EMEA region.

  • Ensure BlueVoyant customers receive world-class service during Microsoft deployment activities and ongoing support.

  • Align security engineering and implementation activities with BlueVoyant MDR service offerings and overall mission.

  • Enable successful client transitions to BlueVoyant managed services through effective implementation.

  • Drive improvements in people, processes, and technologies supporting Microsoft services implementation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security Architecture, Product Management, Project Management, Sales Engineering, SOC Engineering) to advance the overall product line.

  • Coordinate with other delivery regions (North America, Asia Pacific) to ensure global consistency.

  • Stay current on security product lines and industry trends through continuous learning and skill development.



Required Qualifications & Experience:


  • Proven experience in technical team leadership and management.

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft security solutions.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft XDR and Zero Trust Architecture models.

  • Deep understanding of MDR services, processes, and technologies.

  • Operational knowledge of SOC activities.

  • Hands-on experience with technical controls such as SIEM, EDR, case management, documentation, and code management solutions.

  • Security architecture experience in large, complex client-facing environments.

  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations professionally and productively.

  • Strong customer engagement skills for requirements gathering and feedback.

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex technical topics clearly.

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, including working effectively with globally distributed teams.

  • Ownership mindset with proven ability to deliver business objectives in partnership with diverse teams.



Preferred Qualifications & Experience:


  • 10+ years of technical experience in cybersecurity.

  • 2+ years of experience leading technical teams in a team lead or management capacity.

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., M365 Security Administrator, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Administrator) preferred.

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SINA, CISA, GIAC, and SABSA preferred.

  • Broad experience across multiple cybersecurity domains, including; Risk Management, Security Architecture & Engineering, Network Security, Identity & Access Management, Security Assessment & Testing, Security Operations, Software Development Security.
