A service station network operating across the Highlands is recruiting a Manager to oversee the day to day running of the busy site at Ben Nevis Service Station in Fort William.
This is a hands on management role suited to someone with retail leadership experience who is comfortable running a site, leading a team, and maintaining high operational standards.
As Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth daily operation of the service station, including staff supervision and performance management. You will oversee till reconciliation and daily banking, manage stock control and ordering, and ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
You will plan rotas, support staff training and development, and handle discipline where required. Maintaining high standards of customer service, site presentation, and overall appearance will be central to the role, alongside ensuring the business runs efficiently across a seven day operation.
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within retail is preferred. You should be organised, reliable, and confident leading a team, with strong planning and decision making skills.
You will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team, have good computer skills, a confident telephone manner, and an aptitude for working with figures. Flexibility is essential, as the role covers a seven day trading operation. Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
This is a full time role, 40 hours per week over five days.
The position is offered on a temporary basis for the first three months, with the potential to become permanent based on performance.
