THE POSITION: STACK is looking for a Construction Cost Manager to help lead a team of construction cost analysts dedicated to our master development campus in Stafford, VA. In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial strategies and operation of our campus development projects, including managing capex planning, reporting, analysis, and financial consolidations for the campus.

Responsibilities
  • Manage team of Construction Cost Analysts (CCAs) to ensure accurate financial representation on all projects within the campus
  • Analyze campus project financial performance and provide insights to improve cash flow forecasting, budget savings, and project exposures
  • Provide rolling cash flow forecasts on individual projects and the consolidated campus
  • Track and monitor capital commitments and approvals, including reviews of costs to meet capitalization policies and budget reconciliations
  • Review and confirm Purchase Orders (POs) establishment to ensure appropriate projects and associated budgets are being utilized
  • Review and investigate construction project and/or campus variances
  • Evaluate financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Support in project inquiries to meet liability and capital funding requirements
  • Perform data research and analysis for the Construction and Finance teams
  • Contribute and develop campus-wide reports on a monthly basis
  • Provide support to Construction and Finance systems and administration
  • Ensure overall compliance of construction project costs with accounting policies and procedures

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in cost accounting, auditing, or financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in finance, preferable in real estate development or relevant industries
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
