Who we are looking for

If you have experience of auditing and have completed Lead Auditor qualifications, maybe you are who we are looking for?

This role may suit those working in an existing Audit role or perhaps within positions such Quality Management, Health & Safety Advisory Roles or in an Environmental Specialist capacity.

The role, once through the process to satisfy competence requirements, will involve planning & performing of certification audits of our client’s management systems against the requirements of one or more international standards, as well as scheme requirements, and will necessitate periodic travel across the UK & Ireland, with overnight stays on occasion.

Given the autonomy of the role and expectation of interaction with client’s personnel from Top Management to ‘Shop Floor’, it would be expected that applicants would be able to demonstrate management responsibility and application of knowledge, within their experience, as well as being self-reliant, having good time management and reporting skills.

SCS have offices in Lisburn, Co. Antrim, and Liverpool, Merseyside, and so those interested must be prepared to commute to offices for orientation and training events when necessary, so it may suit best those located in North East of Ireland and the North West of England.

Experience and skills

Demonstrable experience in one or more of the following technical sectors is required: Manufacturing, Engineering Services, Steel sector, Construction, Design, Technical Services, Waste, Recycling.

ICT Skills are required due to use of hybrid audit techniques, reporting requirements and digital workflow platforms.

A full driving licence and access to car or such like will be required for travel to client sites.

  • IRCA QMS ISO9001 Lead Auditor Certificated Training
  • Environmental Management Qualification (Level 3 Minimum) or Professional Standing
  • IRCA EMS ISO14001 Lead Auditor Certificated Training
  • Occupational Health & Safety Management Qualification (Level 3 Minimum) or Professional Standing
  • IRCA OHSMS ISO45001 Lead Auditor Certificated Training
  • NEBOSH Level 3 General Certificate in OHS (or equivalent)
