Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Leeds – LS17

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

A s a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support to 3 men with autism that will enormously contribute to them living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life, including:

  • Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.
  • Supporting them to live independently – budget management, paying bills, maintaining their home, organising appointments and supporting them to cook delicious healthy meals.
  • Excellent communication skills/relationship building – supporting them to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
  • Community & Social Inclusion- Supporting the men to access and participate in their local community, go on holidays and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.
What we're looking for

Contract options
  • Male Support Worker – 17.5 hours per week, day shifts - MUST have valid UK Driving Licence

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

  • Days: various shifts Between 07:00-22:00
  • Waking Nights: 10:00-08:00

There is also a sleep-in available where you receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.70
