Maintenance Technician - CDE Group

Location: CDE Manufacturing, 370 Doagh Road, Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom

About the Role

To oversee and efficiently resolve any engineering issues which may impact productivity schedules. This role involves working to deadlines in a highly pressured, fast moving manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct faults in all machinery, services and plant within the facility
  • Diagnose and resolve machine and facility breakdowns and issues quickly and efficiently
  • Complete and support planned maintenance as required on all plant and machinery
  • Cost effectively source replacement and service parts
  • Identify and complete continuous improvement activities in all areas of the facility
  • Complete and update required maintenance records
  • Maintain target 5S standards for your work area and identify and implement improvements
  • Train operators on SOPs and new equipment
  • Carry out all planned, preventative and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with the maintenance plan
  • Perform other job related duties

Required Criteria
  • Time served / fully qualified engineer with relevant industrial experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with a proven track record and experience in all aspects of machinery and facilities maintenance
  • Clearance to work in the UK
  • Available to work flexible hours
Desired Criteria
  • NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • CPC qualified
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the manufacturing/engineering industry
