Maintenance Team Leader

Neurocore LLC is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader for a days-only role with a competitive salary and benefits.

Role: Maintenance Team Leader (days only)

Salary: £47,000 – £49,000 per annum plus benefits

Hours: 08:00 – 17:00, 5 days per week (flexible at interview; weekend shifts may be required)

Location: Commutable from Stockport, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Wilmslow, Stretford, and surrounding areas

Neurocore is a heavy plant manufacturing company offering challenging careers for engineers. We are looking for a Team Leader, preferably with apprentice training, or a minimum level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across the site and off‑site quarry.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Carry out all planned preventative maintenance as requested.
  • Assist with installation of new plant equipment.
  • Promote Lean thinking and actively seek ways to improve efficiencies.
  • Carry out factory inspections, advising and supporting production operatives and other personnel.
  • Monitor quality from raw material to finished goods.
  • Ensure efficient induction and training of new starters.
  • Provide emergency maintenance cover when required.
Requirements
  • Experience in manufacturing environment, ideally heavy manufacturing (clay, refractory, quarrying, cement) or FMCG.
  • Minimum one year leadership experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role or similar.
  • Strong leadership, communication and motivational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a positive attitude.
  • Good exposure to health & safety standards and EHS.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities.
  • Passionate about improvement with knowledge of Lean manufacturing.
  • Analytical, fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience and diagnostic skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, drive chain fault finding, bearing fitting/alignment and electrical control systems.
  • Knowledge of cutting & grinding regulations.
  • Maintenance experience and diagnostics of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control systems.
