Job description

We're looking for a hands‑on Lead Maintenance Engineer to join our client and oversee our engineering team and keep our fast‑paced food manufacturing site running safely and efficiently. You'll be the on‑shift technical expert‑supporting engineers, resolving breakdowns, and driving continuous improvement. Working a double days shift, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support shift engineers; act as the main technical point of contact.
  • Ensure all engineering work meets health, safety, and food safety standards.
  • Carry out and coordinate PPM and reactive maintenance on automated and manual equipment.
  • Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Monitor equipment performance and downtime, driving improvement actions.
  • Maintain accurate shift reports and maintenance records.
  • Lead CI activities, and support equipment installations/commissioning.
  • Provide strong coaching, mentoring, and clear shift handovers.
What You'll Need
  • Multi‑skilled engineer (electrical bias preferred).
  • Experience leading engineering teams in FMCG/food manufacturing or looking for the next step in your career.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills.
