Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment in heavy industry. Responsibilities include performing repairs, executing planned maintenance, and coordinating contractor activities. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts, including hydraulics and pneumatics. Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Production lines and relevant experience.

Job description

This role is crucial in the maintenance of our client's heavy industry manufacturing and production equipment.

Supporting the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Duties include:-

  • To perform prompt repairs to the plant and machinery, guaranteeing production lines keep running smoothly.
  • To perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks and to keep records of all actions and procedures
  • Safely plan and prioritise corrective actions within the maintenance role that arise from day to day operations and from improvement initiatives.
  • To ensure that all equipment is running at maximum potential to enable the plant to keep running at all times.

Candidates suited to this role will co-ordinate and guide contractors on site - ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and safely.

You will assist in the organisation of essential spares, taking into account lead times and costs. Candidates will be educated within a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering discipline. You will have a sound understanding of Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering Knowledge, such as Hydraulics and Pneumatics, bench fitting.

Candidates will have knowledge of Production lines and experience in supporting this.
