Job summary

A food manufacturing company in Telford seeks a Technical Operative. You will perform machine interventions and ensure the production line runs effectively. About the Role:

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:00

About the role

As a Technical Operator you will undertake machine interventions and first line troubleshooting in order to ensure the machinery runs to its optimum. You will make sure that the production line is operating smoothly and correctly and any issues are reported.

  • Perform start up and close down procedures
  • Complete routine maintenance of specific line equipment
  • Analyse, interpret and report live data for performance evaluation
  • Deliver the departmental daily plan
  • Maintain, monitor and achieve operational targets
  • Monitor and improve product quality
  • Complete line quality checks
  • Perform production process checks in the department
  • Maintain accurate stock records
  • Apply food safety management procedures
  • Adhere to HACCP procedures
  • Continuously identify and implement workplace improvements
  • Maintain and promote measures that support waste minimisation and sustainability in operations
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Support GMP in the department
  • Carry out routine Production Operator tasks as required, in order to maintain effective running of the department
What are we looking for?
  • Experience within a production/manufacturing setting showing an understanding of a fast-moving process
  • Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
  • The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
  • Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
